Document the rack while you're standing at it.

Ancile is the field technician's documentation tool for physical IT infrastructure — racks, switches, firewalls, patch panels, UPSs, and the cabling between them. Photograph the gear, capture the serials and port labels, map every cable. Come back later, scan the room's marker, and the whole rack is on your phone — ready to check against what's in front of you.

Every cable is a real connection — port to port, with its medium and run, even across racks. The layer the other tools leave out.

Two jobs, done on-site

Ancile does the documentation a field technician actually needs, in the place they need it — at the rack, often on poor signal.

It complements the tools you already run — Grafana, PagerDuty, Hudu, IT Glue, NetBox. It's the part those tools leave out: the physical layer, captured by the person standing in front of it.

Built to stay yours

Ancile is an app-internal source of truth. Your documentation lives on your phone. The app never asks for, and never stores, your customers' system credentials — it's a documentation tool, not a password vault. Data leaves only when you export it, as CSV, Excel, or PDF.

No accounts. No background server. No analytics, no ads, no tracking. Ancile documents and recalls — it never tells you how to configure a live firewall, switch, or UPS. It records what's there; the decisions stay yours.
